Skype Online Help System Notice: Configuring Your Audio Device for Skype for Business

Step 1: Start Microsoft Skype for Business Automatically

To begin, make sure that Microsoft Skype for Business starts automatically in CITGO. If it does not start automatically, you can do so by clicking the Start button and selecting Microsoft Skype for Business from the menu.

Step 2: Log Off of the CITGO Virtual Desktop

Once you have started Microsoft Skype for Business, log off of the CITGO Virtual Desktop using the Start button. This will allow you to access the Citrix Receiver – Desktop Viewer Preferences dialog box.

Step 3: Configure Your Skype for Business Audio Device

From the CITGO Virtual Desktop, click on the Desktop Viewer drop-down menu and select 'Verify and/or change the Desktop Viewer Mic.' This will open the Recording tab in the Control Panel dialog box.

In the Recording tab, select your Microphone Array as the default device. Then, select the Jabra UC Voice 550 Headphones as the default Communication Device using the drop-down arrow on the Set Default button. Note that only Jabra UC Voi c e 550 Headphones are supported for Skype for Business audio.

Step 4: Configure Your Speakers/Headphones

Next, navigate to the Playback tab and select your Speakers/Headphones as the default device. Then, select Headphones/Headset as the default Communications Device using the drop-down arrow on the Set Default button.

Step 5: Plug In Your Skype for Business Approved Headset

Finally, plug in your Skype for Business approved headset to the USB port on your computer. This will ensure that your audio setup is complete and ready for use.
